According to Crain’s New York Business, a proposal from Dr. Donald Moore, a member of the Downstate Community Advisory Board, suggests downsizing SUNY Downstate Medical Center while expanding outpatient services. The plan includes a new outpatient facility, maintains some inpatient beds, and removes the ER, relying on Kings County Hospital.
